The role

As the Creative Strategy Lead within our Creative team, you’ll be responsible for the creative strategy for all of our clients. Your role, fuelled by data and insights from our paid media teams and powered by creativity, is to deliver concepts and briefs for creatives that capture attention and drive measurable outcomes. You will be managing a growing team to deliver our creative strategy work but will also be hands on with your own portfolio of clients. This position is pivotal in shaping the creative performance of our clients. You will be continuously refining our approach to match the ever-evolving digital landscape, and inspiring growth through creative performance.

What you will do

Team management
Your team is small, mighty and like our clients growing. You will be responsible for the day to day line management and career development of creative strategists – assigning tasks, reviewing work and inspiring creativity. You will have oversight of all of the below tasks for strategists as well as having a portfolio of your own clients to work hands on with.

Creative Insights & Trends
Creating assets without data is like driving a car without a steering wheel. You will have a clear perspective on what works and what doesn’t in our client’s creative strategy. You’ll leverage insights from our paid media teams to inform and develop the creative strategy. This will involve reviewing client creative’s insights, proactive competitor and industry research to stay ahead of the curve and on the lookout for the latest social trends.

Creative Strategy (research/ideation/concepting)
You will transform creative data, trends and insights into client-aligned ideations and concepts. With your social savvy eye, you’ll interpret data, trends, and insights into fresh ideas and opportunities. Additional analysis, competitor research, and team brainstorming sessions may be necessary to generate compelling new concepts. You will be instrumental in creating both iterations of successful creatives and new/original concepts.

Creative Pitching
You’ll articulate and mockup your concepts into a presentation. Working alongside our client services teams, you’ll present these concepts with enthusiasm and expertise, and with the authority and experience to challenge client assumptions and strive for client approval and/or buy-in.

Creative Briefing & QA
Once concepts are approved, you will be responsible for making sure creative partners bring the ideas to life managing the creative side of projects from brief to final sign off and delivery. You will be briefing and overseeing creative work from creators, designers and in-house and external production making sure they deliver on-brand creative work that drives impactful results.

Developing our strategy product and processes
Our creative strategy product is still in its infancy. You will be responsible for constantly reviewing and improving the offering and processes that support it.

You have experience in line management and feel comfortable developing creative team members. You are excited by the prospect of building out a new team as our offering grows.
  • You have a proven record in creative strategy that drives results, whether within a digital marketing agency, creative agency or in-house at DTC brands.
  • A visionary and strategic thinker, you excel in transforming client needs into compelling creative strategies and concepts that resonate and convert.
  • You have a proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics that allows you to turn data into actionable creative insights. You possess an exceptional eye for detail and quality.
  • Your outstanding communication skills enable you to present and pitch creative concepts with simplicity and conviction, articulating your ideas and influencing client decisions. You excel in both client-facing scenarios and cross-functional team collaborations.
  • You have an expert understanding how creative gets made and how to oversee others to make it. And feel comfortable briefing, reviewing and getting the best out of internal and external creative partners whether they are designers, videographers for content creators
  • With familiarity with paid social platforms and focus on short-form performance-driven content (particularly Meta and TikTok), you’re fluent in the latest creative trends and best practices.
  • You have an in-depth understanding of how to deliver creative and strategies for clients that are both on-brand and fit for platform.
