The role

The Paid Search Specialist role sits within the ‘Media Buying’ side of the business and requires key responsibility for successfully driving end-to-end strategy, execution, optimisations and reporting for your cohort of allocated clients activity on Paid Search channels – predominantly Google Ads. You’ll be working to performance focused KPI’s and while the mix of campaigns we run for clients will vary, this will always cover Search, Shopping and/or PMAX. For many of our clients YouTube and Demand Gen are also important campaigns you will be responsible for. The day-to-day role will involve handling client queries, offering performance insights to the Account Director and Growth Manager and reporting on marketing strategies aligned with performance KPIs.

About You

You are a driven Google Ads expert who is passionate about eCommerce and D2C marketing, with a commitment to staying abreast of the most recent developments and changes in the industry, demonstrating a genuine passion for staying ahead of the curve.

You will have a proven track record of working to performance based-metrics, while possessing a deep understanding of the full-marketing funnel and how Paid Search can be used as a tool to achieve your clients business objectives.

You must thrive in a dynamic and high-pressure setting, showcasing your adeptness at collaborative teamwork and effective cross-team communication.

You will always be looking to drive proactive improvements on your clients accounts to with the goal of achieving growth.

You will possess excellent organisation skills ensuring projects and account testing is documented in a clear and consistent way, and promptly communicating changes to relevant stakeholders.

You care about sharing the results of your work within a small team of peers, to allow for cross-team knowledge sharing and understand the value this brings.

Skills & Experience

A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Ads, either client or agency side.
Proven track record of driving performance metric improvements on eCommerce brands through Google and Bing campaigns.
Extensive hands-on experience running Search, Shopping and PMAX campaigns.
Experience running YouTube/Demand Gen or Discovery Ads is highly desired but not a requirement
Experience with Feed Management tools and their use to drive improvement to Shopping campaigns
Experience with advanced Shopping or PMAX setups
Strong ability to manipulate data in Excel or Google Sheets (we use the latter).
Proficiency in analytical tools and platforms including GA4 and ideally some experience using third party attribution platforms
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

Own the execution, strategy, and reporting of paid search campaigns for assigned clients.
Analyse performance data systematically and proactively, providing actionable insights.
Continually identify new growth opportunities and approaches.
Report on and communicate media buying strategies in line with performance KPIs.
Support with the development of cyclical media buying and creative roadmaps.
If working with a more junior member of the Paid Search team, you will be responsible for supporting their line management, mentoring, and training.
